With great pleasure CWAJ invites you to join an Artist Talk by HIROTA Raifu in conjunction with the CWAJ 2020 Open Print Art Gallery.

Hirota Raifu was born in 1947 in Kanagawa Prefecture. He is a highly regarded and much-loved print artist working in Japan who has exhibited in 14 CWAJ Print Shows. His print, Tea Serving Doll, was featured in the Hands-On Art Program at the 63rdCWAJ Print Show in 2019. Subsequently, HIROTA san graciously donated the beautiful print to the Japan Braille Library.  This year, the artist’s print, Bare Piano, will be exhibited at the 2020 CWAJ Open Print Art Gallery.  This print will also be produced as a raised image, and sent to visually impaired guests who are participating in this artist talk.

We welcome all CWAJ members and the public to this Artist Talk with HIROTA Raifu.  Click below to register, and a Zoom link will be sent prior to the event.

Guests who are visually impaired will have the opportunity for English or Japanese  Conversation in small breakout rooms following the artist’s presentation.
